Safety

知柏八味丸，是由六味地黄丸加知母﹑黄柏而成，即熟地黄﹑山茱萸﹑山药﹑泽泻﹑牡丹皮﹑白茯苓﹑知母﹑黄柏共八味药组成。有阴虚火旺之象，证见面色红润，精神兴奋，舌质红，苔黄腻，脉象弦滑或尺脉旺者，皆是知柏八味丸之适应证，即所谓壮水之主，以制阳光之治则；肾病综合症有阴虚火旺表现证象者或肾病综合症长期服用激素，或引起阴虚火旺者可服用知柏八味丸。
知柏八味丸的辨证与临床应用
糖尿病、高血压，甲状腺机能亢进、遗精、强中、耳鸣、精神官能症有阴虚火旺之证象者。
骨髓炎初起红肿热痛，脓液黄而侬，可用知柏人味丸配合五味消毒饮治之。
口糜(鹅门疮)证见口舌糜烂色红，口燥咽乾，舌红少苔，脉细数，可服知柏八味丸。要注意口糜少部份有证属虚寒，局部微痛，黏膜淡白，并有全身虚寒表现者，则为桂附八味丸之适应证。
应用知柏八味丸时，兼有虚烦口渴重者加人参、黄耆，腰背酸痛加牛膝、杜仲，舌乾咽痛加元参、桔梗，失眠难寐加炒枣仁，合欢、夜交藤。
