This is an excellent formula for high fever aggravated by constipation, and is particularly useful in children’s fever, including fevers due to measles, mumps and tonsillitis.
It has been utilized to treat constipation caused by excessive heat not associated with a Yin deficiency. When fever and sore throat are present, it has been used to treat seasonal febrile disease at its early stages. It is also used to treat boils and other skin inflections.
